Terms of Service
**Last updated:** October 17, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Pod Patrol, including our mobile application, related websites, and any waitlist or signup pages we operate (together, the “Service”). Pod Patrol is operated by PPPO LLC.
By creating an account, downloading the app, joining our waitlist, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
Pod Patrol is a study and education platform for podiatrists and podiatric trainees. It may include quizzes, flashcards, study materials, cases, imaging references, practice tools, and related features intended to support board exam preparation and professional learning.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information when you register or join a waitlist and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You may not share your account with another person.
3. Beta Access and Waitlist
From time to time we may offer invite-only or beta access, including personal access codes, lifetime or promotional entitlements, or a launch waitlist. Beta and waitlist participation is not a guarantee of continued access, features, or pricing. We may limit seats, change eligibility, revoke codes for abuse or sharing, or end a beta program at our discretion.
4. Subscriptions, Purchases, and Billing
Some features of Pod Patrol may require a paid subscription or in-app purchase.
- On Apple devices, payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
- Subscriptions may auto-renew unless you cancel in your Apple ID / App Store subscription settings before the renewal date.
- Pricing, renewal periods, and available plans are shown in the app and/or App Store listing at the time of purchase.
- Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
- Any complimentary, beta, or lifetime access we grant is personal to you, non-transferable, and may be modified or ended if obtained through fraud, account sharing, or other violations of these Terms.
If we later offer purchases on other platforms (for example Google Play), those platform terms and billing rules will also apply.
5. License and Acceptable Use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-commercial license to access and use the Service for your own education and exam preparation.
You agree not to:
- copy, reproduce, distribute, resell, publicly post, or share quiz questions, explanations, cases, images, or other Service content outside the app except as we expressly allow;
- share your account, subscription, beta code, or access with any other person;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or use automated means to extract content from the Service;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from the Service except to the extent allowed by law;
- remove copyright or proprietary notices; or
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that disrupts, harms, or overloads it.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these restrictions. Account sharing is a serious violation and may result in immediate termination of paid or promotional access without refund where permitted by law and platform rules.
6. Intellectual Property
All content and software in the Service—including questions, explanations, text, graphics, logos, audio/visual materials, and the app itself—are owned by Pod Patrol or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to you.
“Pod Patrol” and related branding are our trademarks or trade names. Board organizations’ names and marks belong to their respective owners.
7. Educational Disclaimer; No Medical Advice; No Board Affiliation
Pod Patrol is a study aid for educational purposes only. Content is not medical advice and must not be relied on for the diagnosis, treatment, or care of any patient. Always use your own clinical judgment and appropriate professional references.
Passing rates, scores, or exam outcomes are not guaranteed. Exam blueprints and standards change; you are responsible for confirming current requirements with the relevant board or testing organization.
ABFAS®, ABPM®, NBPME®, and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners. Pod Patrol is an independent study resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, the National Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners, or any other certifying or testing body unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE AND ALL MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT CONTENT WILL BE COMPLETE OR CURRENT.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POD PATROL AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR EXAM / CAREER OUTCOMES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pod Patrol and its affiliates, officers, and agents from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content or conduct, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or for other legitimate reasons (including misuse, fraud, or risk to the Service). You may stop using the Service at any time and cancel subscriptions through your platform account settings (for example, Apple ID subscriptions). Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will survive termination.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, post the updated Terms on our website or in the app. By continuing to use the Service after changes take effect, you agree to the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or the Service are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Iowa shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable law or Apple’s terms require otherwise for App Store purchases.
